The flow rate is the measure of the amount of water that can run through your house faucets—dishwashers, washing machine, showers, hot water heaters, and toilet. When planning to buy your well water filter, make sure to know the demand of your appliances and water dispensers in your home. For example, a typical showerhead has a flow rate of 2.5-5 gallons per minute while dishwashers and toilets have flow rates of 5 gpm and 3 gpm respectively.
