CON'S:
  • The non-electric control valve requires the user to perform a manual backwash/regeneration and rinse. The non-electric manual valve operates with a simple lever - pull the lever to backwash and let it run for ten minutes, pull it down to brine rinse for about 60 minutes, pull the lever down to rinse for about 10 minute, pull the lever down to fill the brine tank for about 7 minutes - then return lever to service position. Frequency of manually preforming this regeneration process is determined by your water usage and water chemistry. However, expect to regenerate at least once a week.      ​
