- Answer: The Iron Max Series is our # 1 top selling iron filter in the US! Engineered and designed to improve well water quality without salt, chemicals, or routine maintenance. Our space saving single tank Iron Max eliminates the need of 2 or more expensive systems by filtering up to 12ppm ferrous iron (clear water iron), ferric iron (red/orange when drawn), up to 5ppm manganese, up to 3ppm hydrogen sulfide gas odors, and sediment down to 3-5 microns.
- Question: How much maintenance can I expect to have with the Iron Max Iron Filter?

The Twin Alternating Iron Max Filtration Systems provide an uninterrupted supply of iron free water to your home or business. The Twin Iron Max series has two tanks for filtering sediment, iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide gas in your well water. Water is filtered in one tank while the other is in a standby mode. When the filtering capacity of the first tank is reached, the system automatically switches tanks. The first tank then starts the backwashing cycle. This cycle is repeated when the second tank reaches its capacity point. The perfect choice for high water use households, high iron levels, or where continuous well water treatment is desired.
- Question; How long does the Iron Max filtration last and do I have to replace the entire filter system?
- Answer: No, we recommend that you replace the Iron Max filtration media every 8-10 years - this can be done by removing the expired filter media from the filter tank (we provide easy step by step instructions) and simply replacing it with brand new Iron Max filter media. Note: some applications may require a more frequent replacement interval.
- Question: Do I need a plumber to install the Iron Max?
