A few words from our RainDance Water Design Team: We are often asked "What is the best well water filter?" and unfortunately, there is no one answer. Water quality can vary from well to well, region to region, and nation to nation. Gound water sources have such a diverse chemistry that the best filter for one well would be completely wrong for another. We have seen customers with as little as 0.2ppm of iron and their neighbor down the road have as much as 5ppm. Acidic pH, high manganese, and the type of iron you have can also effect the proper filter needed for your specific well water. The only way to assure yourself that you are buying the correct water filter for your needs is to have your well water tested. Having your water tested takes all the guess work out and allows our Design Team to recommend the best possible water treatment system based on your water conditions.

This test is exclusively for the purpose of making recommendations for the application of our products and to help our customers choose the correct water treatment system for their home or business. On top of recommending the best product, we can use your water test results to custom-program our filters and softeners for optimum filtration performance based on your water chemistry.
RainDance's FREE Basic Water Testing Service includes testing for iron, iron bacteria, manganese, tannins, nitrates, pH, alkalinity, water hardness, total dissolved solids, chlorine, odor as received, color as received.
Any concerns regarding the safety of your water supply (i.e. e-coli, coliform bacteria, harmful chemicals, etc.) should be addressed by a testing facility that can perform a comprehensive test that includes microbiological testing. We can recommend a certified testing laboratory upon request.

How To Get Your Water Tested
To take advantage of our free basic water testing, simply send us a sample of your water for testing. To provide a proper water sample draw water before any existing filtration systems, preferably as close to the source as possible such as a well pressure tank, or from the main household's plumbing system (i.e. kitchen sink, bathroom fixtures, etc.). Please provide at least 8 ounces of water in a leak-proof plastic bottle (NO GLASS). Shipping charges are the responsibility of the sending party.
If you are an existing customer with a RainDance system please send (2) water samples - one before your RainDance filter or softener (taken at the well head or bypassing your system for untreated water) and one with the system in service mode for treated water. RainDance will test your raw well water and treated water to make sure your system is working at optimum performance.
