Tannins: Tannins (humic acid) are found in waters which have passed through large quantities of decaying vegetation. Tannins can cause yellow water and yellow staining on fabrics and fixtures. Tannins measuring at the low level of 0.5ppm can be problematic as tannins dissolve permanently into the water and won’t settle out over time. The Twin Tannin Eater alternating twin tanks provide an uninterrupted supply of tannin filtration and soft water to your home or business. The Twin Alternating Tannin Eater has two tanks for softening and filtering. Water is softened and filtered in one tank while the other is in a standby mode. When the capacity of the first tank is reached, the system automatically switches tanks. The first tank is then recharged. This cycle is repeated when the second tank reaches its capacity point.
