Craft Brewery RO Sizing
A standard U.S. beer barrel (bbl) equals 31 gallons. For a 12 bbl brewhouse (372 gallons), water demand is the key sizing factor. The Brew Master RDCW-1000 Reverse Osmosis System produces about 1,000 gallons per day (41 gallons per hour). Because RO systems operate at a relatively low flow rate, a properly sized storage tank is required to hold the purified water. With a full tank and the included repressurization pump, the RDCW-1000 can reliably supply the 372 gallons needed in a single 8-hour shift, with the flexibility to run a second shift for double capacity.
For breweries planning larger batches or needing faster turnaround, the Brew Master RDCW-2000 (2,000 GPD) provides additional production capacity and shorter refill times when paired with a larger storage tank.

The RO process eliminates salts, sodium, chloride, sulfates, TDS, lead, copper, fluoride, and suspended matter to create a pure, blank water profile ideal for mineral adjustment.
Stage 4: Optional TDS Blending Valve
Every Brew Master RO includes a optional TDS blending valve, allowing brewers to blend a controlled amount of filtered water back into the RO product. This gives you precise control over calcium, magnesium, and other minerals—making it easier to match classic brewing water profiles or fine-tune recipes for consistency.
