QUICK INSTALL GUIDE - How the RainDance Whole House Nanofiltration Package Works

​Overview of the RainDance 1500 & 3000GPD Nano System Operation
Water from your city or well source enters dual prefilters, then flows to the nanofiltration membranes. The filtered water is routed through a remineralizer before filling a storage tank. A float switch in the tank controls the system, shutting it off when the tank is full. When water is needed, the delivery pump activates, drawing clean water to your taps.

1. Nanofiltration System Installation

• Location: Install indoors and turn off the feed water. Drain lines by opening taps until water stops.
• Connections:
  • Connect the Feed (incoming water), Product (filtered water), and Brine (waste) connectors.
  • Link the Product connector to the Post Remineralizer Filter inlet.
  • Direct the Brine connector to a drain.
• Additional Setup: Install a 3-valve bypass to supply water during maintenance, and position the storage tank nearby. Connect the float switch wire from the Nano unit to the float switch on the storage tank.
• Power: Turn on the feed water and plug the Nano unit into a power outlet.

2. Post Remineralizer Filter Installation

• Prepare the Filter: Remove plastic wrappers from the filter and o-ring.
• Mounting: Attach the filter bracket to the wall, connecting the Product water line from the Nano system to the filter inlet, and the outlet to the storage tank.
• Filter Setup: Insert the filter back into the housing, secure the o-ring, and close the housing. Install shut-off valves before and after for easy maintenance.
• Check for Leaks: Once activated, inspect for leaks and resolve as needed.

​3. Storage Tank Delivery Pump Installation

• Placement: Secure the pump near the storage tank on a sturdy base.
• Connections: Connect the pump inlet to the tank outlet and the pump outlet to the main plumbing line. Keep inlet piping short and straight.
• Power & Priming: Plug in the pump, prime it, and turn on.

​Optional Equipment Setup

​1. Pretreatment System Installation

• Placement: Set up on a stable surface near a drain and electrical outlet. Ensure the distributor tube aligns with the tank’s top.
• Connections: Attach a bypass, connect inlet/outlet plumbing to the control valve, and route the drain line. For water softeners, link brine tubing to the brine tank.
• Programming: Connect the pretreat lockout switch to prevent untreated water flow during regeneration. Flush lines and check for leaks.
• Manual Regeneration: After setup, plug in and program the control valve, then run a manual regeneration cycle.

2. Post UV Disinfection System Installation

• Mounting: Install the UV chamber vertically (or horizontally with outlet pointing up) and connect the storage tank’s outlet pipe to the UV inlet.
• Controller: Mount the controller horizontally and plug in. Run water to clear air and dust, then check for leaks.

1. Pretreatment System: To extend the life of the membrane a water softener, iron filter, or other prefilter may be needed to provide protection to Nano membranes.
2. Integrated Sediment Prefilter: Sediment, Sand, Debris, & Rust Prefiltration
3. Integrated Carbon Prefilter: Chlorine/Organic Chemical Prefiltration
4. Nanofiltration Membrane: High Capacity Nanofiltration System available in 1,500gpd and 3,000gpd capacities – Reduces contaminants from different types of water sources.
5. Post Remineralizer Filter: Raises the pH in the product water to prevent acidic corrosive water by adding a small amount of calcium minerals.
6. Atmospheric Product Storage Tank: Tank provides on-demand purified water to the building. Includes float switch and float to shut Nano system off when tank is full.
7. Delivery Pump: Draws water from storage tank and delivers high flow purified water to all taps.
8. Optional UV System: A post UV system can be added here to disinfect water before entering the building.
