Commercial Reverse Osmosis Water System Installation Instructions

​Installing a commercial reverse osmosis (RO) system doesn’t have to be complex. Our Quick Install Guide provides a streamlined overview of the setup process, highlighting key steps to get your system up and running with ease. Whether you're installing an RO system for your business, commercial facility, or a unique application, these instructions will walk you through everything from connecting the antiscalant system to setting up the storage tank and pretreatment units. ​Step 1: Antiscalant System Setup

1. Position the antiscalant system near the RO unit.
2. Connect the pump power cord to the RO system's female power receptacle.
3. Attach the injector fitting to a tee on the feed line into the RO system.
4. Trim the injector tubing as needed, connecting it to both the injector fitting and the antiscalant pump.
5. Fill the solution tank with a mix of antiscalant and distilled or RO water.

Step 2: Reverse Osmosis (RO) System Installation

1. Install the RO unit indoors, sheltered from weather and freezing temperatures.
2. With the main water supply off, plumb the RO system with these connections:
   • Feed Inlet Port: Connect to the primary water line feeding the RO system.
   • Product Port: Connect to the inlet on the storage tank.
   • Drain Port: Direct to a suitable drain.
   • Flush Port: Connect to a tee on the plumbing line from the storage tank’s outlet.
3. Install a 3-valve bypass for continued water supply during RO system maintenance.
4. Connect the float switch wire cord to the storage tank’s float switch.

Step 3: Storage Tank Delivery Pump Installation

1. Position the pump close to the RO storage tank on a stable base.
2. Connect the Inlet Port to the bottom outlet of the storage tank, keeping the line short and straight.
3. Connect the Outlet Port to the home’s main water line.
4. Plug the pump into a nearby electrical outlet.

​Step 4: Optional Pretreatment System Installation

1. Position the pretreatment system on a level, stable base near a drain and electrical outlet.
2. Attach the valve to the tank, turning until snug.
3. Install the provided bypass and connectors onto the valve.
4. With the water supply off, connect the Inlet Port of the control valve to the main plumbing feed and the Outlet Port to the RO system feed.
5. Secure a drain line to the Drain Port.

Start-Up Instructions

1. Set both the RO and pretreatment systems to bypass using the shut-off valves.
2. Slowly turn on the main water supply, flushing new plumbing and checking for leaks.
3. Open the pretreatment system’s inlet bypass to fill the filter tank.
4. Power the control valve and initiate a manual backwash.
5. After backwashing, open the outlet bypass knob.
6. Open the RO system’s shut-off valves to allow water flow.
7. Power on the RO system, activating the antiscalant feed.

Water will begin flowing through the system and fill the storage tank. Drain the first full tank before regular use.

1. Pretreatment System: To extend the life of the membrane an iron filter or other prefilter may be needed to provide protection to RO membranes.
2. Antiscalant System: Salt-free hard water, silica, and other scaling mineral pretreatment system.
3. RO System: High Capacity Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis System available in 2,000-12,000 gallon capacities – Provides effective contaminant removal on all types of water sources.
4. Atmospheric Product Storage Tank: Tank provides on-demand purified water to the home. Includes float switch and float to shut RO system off when tank is full.
5. Delivery Pump: Draws water from storage tank and delivers high flow purified water to all taps.
