For many rural homeowners, well water can be a convenient and sustainable source of water. However, depending on the region, well water can also present unique challenges that make it difficult—or even impossible—to use untreated for daily needs. Common issues include high levels of total dissolved solids (TDS), sulfates, sodium, and hardness, all of which can affect water quality and usability.
For many well water users, iron is a significant concern, especially at extreme levels. In this case study, we explore how one homeowner in New York’s Adirondack Mountains overcame high iron and hardness issues with the help of an innovative iron filter solution.
